4.4.1 LuaTeX ¶

If you use LuaTeX as your LaTeX engine (i.e., you compile your documents with lualatex), you might try the lyLuaTeX package as an alternative to lilypond-book. Due to enhanced capabilities of LuaTeX, it is no longer necessary to call an external command before running lualatex; the program takes care of calling lilypond by itself.
